Fee is due at the time of session.  The first assessment appointment is $145 for 75 minutes.  Every session thereafter is $120 for 50 minutes.  Couples sessions, co-parenting sessions and family session with 3 or more members (excluding therapist) are $135 per 50 minutes.

I am a Cash/Check/Credit-Debit/ & HSA/FSA only provider, which means I do not bill insurance.   I will provide a Superbill at your request for possible reimbursement from your insurance company and you can apply it to your deductible as well. Please note some insurance companies will reimburse you with this, but it is not a guarantee. 'Contactless' pay through Apple Pay is available for your added security and convenience.  Please make checks payable to Whole Self Therapeutic.

*I set aside a select number of sliding scale appointments to help offset cost as well.  Need and availability can be discussed at our first contact.

Cancelation/No Show policy:

>24 hours notice is encouraged or you may be charged the full fee of your scheduled session.  No Shows will be charged the full fee of your scheduled session.

 Good Faith Estimate:

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items & services.

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, & hospital fees.

  • Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, & any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

  • If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

  • Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don't you take insurance?

While there are benefits to using insurance, I have chosen to go the non-insurance route at this time for other important benefits:

  • I want to provide you the quality therapy you need & deserve, uninterrupted. You will not be limited to a certain number of visits, staying in therapy for as long as you need. I don't believe an insurance company can accurately determine your progress & continued need for service when they are not the ones providing the therapy to you on a regular basis.

  • You have the ability to choose the exact therapist you want & feel is the best fit for you, without needing a referral from your doctor or your insurance company's approval.

  • You will be provided a wider range of therapy options, not just a handful of approaches that your insurance company has approved. I find that some of the best therapeutic approaches are not always at the top of insurance company's lists. If you prefer, therapy can simply be your space for processing, prevention/management, or overall personal growth. It is your choice.

  • You are afforded greater privacy. Therapy can be a very personal experience & you have the right to keep it that way. When you go through insurance, a therapist is required to provide certain personal information, including specific diagnosis, or you run the risk of your therapy coverage being denied.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I do set aside a select number of slots throughout the year.  Need & availability can be discussed at your first contact.

Do you offer video sessions?

Yes! Telehealth video sessions are now available to help provide you mental health counseling services directly from the comfort & convenience of your own home. Sessions are secure & HIPAA compliant. Video sessions accept debit/credit/HSA payment only.

How long will therapy take?

Everyone's experience & need in therapy is different.  You may be done in a matter of weeks or stay for much longer.  It all depends on what you bring to session & how much you are willing to engage in the therapy process.

Do you offer CBT therapy?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is just one of the many therapy approaches I utilize when deemed appropriate for the Client.  I find this approach to be particularly helpful for those looking to make positive change in their lives or those wanting to improve their mind-body connection.

Do you prescribe medication?

I am not a medical doctor or an ARNP, & therefore, cannot prescribe any medications of any kind.  If during your therapy process we agree that medication management may be helpful in your healing progress, you will likely be directed to see your Primary Care Provider (PCP) to further discuss.
